Project Summary

Company: Robinhood

Goal: Let everyday investors connect with companies they invest in.

Solution: An API that lets brokerage apps build in-app Q&As.

Impact: 60+ public companies, including Tesla, Coinbase, and Palantir, use Q&A to connect with their shareholders. Check out Tesla’s latest Q&A on Robinhood here.

My role: Product Manager, Broker Products (includes API and analytics dashboard)

API product manager

For this project, I led Robinhood’s integration of an API to power the in-app Q&A experience.

Previously, at Say Technologies (acquired by Robinhood), I owned this API and other APIs used by Robinhood and other brokerages to build in-app experiences that let investors connect with their investments.

Any shareholder can post questions and upvote other questions, like Reddit.

Companies answer the top questions on their earnings calls, annual shareholder meetings, and other events.

A forum for everyday investors

Q&As are accessible outside of Robinhood, too. And any brokerage like Robinhood can build similar in-app experiences with these APIs.

All questions flow through the Say platform, so investors can participate in Q&As from anywhere they invest.

Investors can participate, no matter where they hold their shares
